National Youth Week: May 1 – May 7, 2021

National Youth Week is a week-long appreciation of the efforts of the youth and takes place every year. It’s a week devoted to honouring youth and their active involvement in their communities. It is organized and arranged by the CACD staff to recognize youth culture.

Youth are valuable assets to the Canadian communities. Every day they partake in activities during their free time, whether it’s leisure, theatre, sports, dancing, social participation, art, volunteerism, or leadership.

A series of activities for the youth are in place, including arts, literacy, the environment, and recreation. In this event, youth will engage in and become immersed in activities that highlight their skills and talents three days of the week. These activities will keep them engaged and allow them to have fun.
